Established a New Place to Call Home
Moved to San Francisco and started a new job

July 03, 2010
My time has finally come. I always thought living in San Francisco would be an impossible goal for me—let alone finding a job in the city that would advance my career. Now, I can cross both those off!
It was a dark and cloudy day…
Seattle is a great city and I loved living there, but I did get tired of the grey, overcast days. Once I experienced the dark, short Winter days I knew it was time to leave.
I started looking for jobs in San Francisco and I ran into a place called, Inkling. Their website explained how their goal was to bring an interactive learning experience to devices like the iPad and iPhone. Long story short, I applied and was scheduled for an interview. I was absolutely blown away with not only their product, but with their passionate set of talented designers and engineers. I was fortunate enough to be offered the Interactive Designer position and now here I am… living and working in San Francisco.
Welcome to San Francisco
San Francisco is great, though they make it difficult for you to own a car and live in the city. During my first week here, I ended up getting a parking ticket for failing to move my car during street cleaning. What’s up with that?! I end up commuting to work via local transit because parking around there is hard to fine and expensive.
All-in-all, I love living here. I never doubted for a second that is would be a great experience for me. There still is a lot to see and explore around here and I’m excited about that. Home sweet home.

So glad you’re here billy!
I’m pretty honored to know such a rockstar/ninja/mini-celebrity!
